Twitter - How Mainstream Is It Really?

During a recent trip to the movies to see Quantum of Solace, Twitter was mentioned in a Walmart ad before the movie started.  Twitter was also mentioned on a recent episode of The Big Bang Theory.  On that show, I get it.  Every nerd I know loves that show.  But in a Walmart ad?

There is one other thing that I noticed.  During both Twitter mentions, Facebook was also mentioned.  In both instances, Facebook was mentioned first, then Twitter.  Are the two now tied together somehow in the way that mainstream media view the social aspect of the web?

Zero To Monetization in Less Than 2 Weeks

Twollow, a new web app to that will auto follow people on Twitter for you based on keywords, now has premium accounts.  Now that’s quick.  And quite honestly, I am impressed.  I actually hope he suceeds.

You can get a free account that limits you to 5 keywords.  The premium account increases this to 15 words and allows you to customize the number of auto-follows per update.  It also gives you expanded options for receiving tracking information.  The cost for the premium account is not listed on the website.  I sent an email but have not received a reply as of yet.
