iPhone 2.2 Update Released

November 21, 2008 No Comments

The iPhone 2.2 Update was released tonight.  The new features were just as expected.   I am still going through them, but this is what I have found so far.

The App Store on the iPhone has been updated.  Better categories and a cleaner look.  It also appears to load faster (this is not a scientific or timed test..it just feels that way).

You can now download podcasts directly from the iPhone.  There has been several blogs saying that the download size would be restricted to 10 megs if downloading over the 3G network.  I can confirm this as true.  Download size is not restricted over Wi-Fi, but beware, the phone is pretty unresponsive at times while downloading.

Safari received an upgrade.  The Google search window is now sites beside the address bar.

I am sure that all the tech sites will all of the details tommorrow.  For now, happy downloading.
